Vacancy for Parish Council Handyperson

Great Ayton Parish Council would like to invite applications for the role of Parish Handyperson to undertake appropriate duties within the Parish boundary.  This is a responsible post covering a broad range of tasks across the services/amenities/projects for which the Parish Council has responsibility.   The role will be predominantly physical and based outdoors, working an average of 20 hours per week, dependent upon natural seasonal fluctuations.
 
The Handyperson's workload will be driven by the needs of the time and will incorporate reactive and scheduled maintenance tasks around the village as a whole.  Areas of Parish Council responsibility include the Cemetery, the Allotments, the Play Park, Public WC’s, High & Low Greens, Cooks Memorial Garden, Waterfall Park and other ‘green’ areas.
 

Local Government Association payscale SCP11 (£8.82p.a) - SCP19 (£10.08p.a) applies dependent upon skills/experience.
