GREAT AYTON PARISH COUNCIL - Vacancy for Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

 

Great Ayton Parish Council would like to invite applications from suitably qualified / experienced individuals for the role of Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a small team (Cleaner/Handyperson/Cemetery Superintendant) and participate in the delivery of the council’s service commitments within the parish boundary.  The role will be predominantly physical and based outdoors, working an average of 37.5 hours per week, dependent upon natural seasonal fluctuations.  The GM Supervisor’s workload will be driven by the needs of the time and they will be responsible for organising and overseeing that all reactive and scheduled maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.  The GM Supervisor will shadow the Cemetery Superintendent with a view to taking over in due course, oversee the upkeep of the parish Allotments and ensure that the Play Park, Public WC’s, Village Greens, Cooks Memorial Garden, Waterfall Park and other ‘green’ open spaces areas are in good order.   A full driving licence is required.

 

The Local Government Association pay scale of SCP11 (£21,166pa) or above will apply, whereby salary is dependent upon skills/experience.
