Get involved

If you are passionate about your local community, why not consider becoming a Parish Councillor? Councillors help to make a difference to the quality of life of local people and how local issues are dealt with.

Parish councils have elections for all of their councillors every four years. Elections are usually held on the same day as the ordinary local government election.

If you feel you would like to be involved with the Parish Council, however, couldn't commit to becoming a councillor, then why not volunteer for one of our community events, such as: The Village Fete, Great Ayton Christmas Fayre, Day of Sail, the Big River Leven Clean Up or Carols on the Green. We also organise litter picks as part of the Great British Spring or Autumn Clean.

Become a Volunteer

We're always happy to welcome volunteers. Register with the Parish Clerk if you would be interested in volunteering for Parish Council events.
